The proposed expansion and renovation of the University of Arkansas Razorback Stadium enlarges the existing facility from 46,000 to 65,000 seats with the addition of a new upper deck and concourse, new club seats and suites for corporate benefactors of the university, and a new restaurant overlooking the south end zone. A series of new, covered ramps that provide access to the new levels also integrate a new student center with the stadium, both enhancing and taming the otherwise dominant presence of the stadium on campus. Given the often uncomfortably warm in, the superstructure of the ramps then rises to become a graceful, multipart roof painted with the school’s distinct Razorback red that will help to cool the stadium by providing shade over the new seats and directing air currents.
